Thinking Out Loud

In this present economy “struggle” we are going through, “prudent” thinking would be to cut back – to save – to scrimp and try to get by with less. To refinance, or to pay off, or to watch and play the markets even more closely, ready to pounce on the latest trade – buy low, sell high.  But as Christians, should that be our plan?  I think not. I offer you a different strategy.

Give.  Give till it hurts. Give till it hurts the kingdom of darkness. Sow seed where it will produce – in the Kingdom of God. Now is not the time for holding back.

Mattew 6:20  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

We can trust in the world’s system and end up in catastrophe along with the world. Or we can continue to practice the principles of God’s Kingdom and know that He will take care of us as we take care of His Kingdom. I choose to trust in God.
